Science blog

Hello world I will be talking about light inside my blog. The  first thing I will be talking about is artificial light versus natural light. Artificial light is light made by humans examples of artificial light is a light bulb and a projector are both also artificial light sources.

Did you know that artificial light was created all the way in 1879 and all artificial light sources are safe under normal conditions. Natural light is light not created by humans some examples would be the sun, glow worms and fireflies. Did you know nobody knew about the sun until 450 BC and did you also know that any source of natural light will increase your vitamin d levels. Luminous versus non luminous. Luminous objects are objects that create light, some examples are the sun. Lightning also creates its own light and fun fact about lightning it can be 5 times hotter than the sun and did you also know lightning strikes the Eiffel tower 10 times a year.

Non Luminous objects  are things which don’t create their own light. There are a ton of non luminous objects in the world but here are 5: a desk, table, concrete,a water bottle and a carpet like I said there are many more. A couple facts about non luminous objects:did you know that the only way you can see any non luminous object is to have a luminous object reflect light onto the non luminous object. There are much more non luminous objects than luminous objects. `

Usually light moves in a straight line but when it hits water for example it will switch directions but when it hits concrete the light will just go the opposite direction the effect what i was talking about is called refraction refraction now time for fun facts did you know that the speed of light goes 299792458 meters per second much faster than the speed of sound which if your wondering goes 343 meters per second.

Reflection is when for example you go to the mirror you will see yourself and that also happens with a window  but much dimmer what is happening in the mirror is called reflection since the mirror is completely clear it does this very well some objects like black do work but are extremely dim but only if its light black but when its only black like space it’s impossible to see yourself.

Opaque translucent and transparent are all different and have their own traits. An example of opaque is a desk, a door or a table. Most everyday objects do not reflect, make or let any light pass through and that’s opaque.

Translucent is a very interesting thing because you could say it’s a mix of opaque and transparent because it lets some light pass through but not the entire ray of light coming from that object. For example, a sheet of paper with translucent sunglasses would also be a good example.

Transparent is definitely the most clear object on this well it’s because it’s literally see through some examples are a window a windshield and a jar are all examples And now it is time  for the time you have all been waiting for fun facts about opaque translucent and transparent you see all of these objects daily. Did you also know that air is transparent and fog is translucent?

What is refraction?

Refraction is when something goes in the way depending on what it is the effect refraction will happen in a different way if it is something transparent or see through it will go the same direction just backwards or if its coming from a different angle for example diagonally it would look like it is bending but it didn’t actually so now you know refraction is when light bends I think i’m doing quite well in science and i think it is very fun i’d like to improve on gravity my light is going well and i hope i do well in sound that is my science blog thank you.
